My Story

For Everyone is the pro bono operation of Bamboo Money, a British-owned personal financial services company, based in Shanghai, China. Bamboo Money donates 5% of its profits to For Everyone, and Bamboo Money's owners, management and staff donate at least 5% of their working time to our volunteering efforts. For Everyone's Vision: Financial capability for everyone. For Everyone's Mission: To make money easier for those otherwise excluded from financial services and enterprise. How do we fulfill our Mission? By providing support and improving access in the following areas: - Microfinance - Financial literacy - The personal finance of environmentalism - Enterprise, entrepreneurialism and lifelong learning - Giving Who are our Beneficiaries? - The young and the poor.

Why I Give

We give through Wokai because it helps poor people out of poverty directly and effectively. It’s meaningful because after donating to a microentrepreneur, we know how the money impacts their life, and we can stay concerned with their business. It’s also engaging: Instead of just playing Happy Harvest on Facebook, with Wokai we can see the whole process of how money helps a farmer grow produce to sell and to make money. It’s fantastic. So we started giving on June 30th 2010, and we’ll give every week from now on.
